Why a smart plug will not start a mag-starter collector
A magnetic starter or NVR will not restart when a smart plug cycles power. The GRIT MagSwitch Collector (GH-CO2000) is the match. No wiring guide.
What is happening
A smart plug cycles power. A mag starter waits for Start.
When power drops, the starter drops out. When power returns, it does not "press Start" for you.
- The collector can look dead even though the plug did what it can do.
- This is a start-method mismatch, not a reason to scrap the collector.
- Do not bypass safety controls. This page stops at the plain explanation.
