Shop vac on one tool, or a ducted starter shop
One tool and a shop vac is a simple auto-switch problem. A ducted shop with gates is the GRIT starter system. Pick the shop you actually have.
Two different problems
A shop vac setup is not a ducted shop.
- One machine, one hose, one vac: you do not need a Hub, gates, or a starter BOM.
- Collector plus duct plus gates: you need branch control so suction goes to the running tool.
Automating a vac does not become a duct system. Laying duct does not stay a vac project.

Start with two tools.
That is the starter system: two tools you run every session, mapped to their branches and gate sizes.
